			Valerie Kernan vkernan2@uiuc.edu	Greetings from the Illini Union Board! My name is Valerie Kernan and I’m excited to be the 2008 Director of Weekend Entertainment. I’m currently a sophomore in Agricultural and Consumer Economics with a concentration in Public Policy and Law. I’m a diehard fan of Illini Football, but in the off season you can find me deep in a book, getting involved in many campus organizations, or catching up on the latest movies. As the Director of Weekend Entertainment I am responsible for planning Film Series, deciding which bands to bring to campus for Concerts, and organizing comedy acts for One Night Stand. My hope for Weekend Entertainment is for the IUB to provide entertaining and engaging events that appeal to and represent the diversity within the University’s student body. My Committee Chairs and I are constantly looking for new ideas and are always interested to hear what you suggest! Whether you have a great suggestion for a new act, or would like to get involved on our committees please don’t hesitate to contact me. I am looking forward to a fantastic year with IUB.
