The Illini Union Board is looking for faculty representation for the 2011-2012 Board!

IUB is an organization that has a dual purpose to:

  1. To conduct social, cultural, education, and recreational activities and programs for all members of the University community, including students, faculty, staff and alumni, and: 
  2. To advise the Illini Union Director on matters of policy relating to the operation of the Illini Union. The Illini Union Director fully consults with the IUB on major policy matters.
Per a charge by the Board of Trustees, IUB’s leadership board consists of 13 students selected by IUB, 1 graduate and undergraduate representative appointed by the Illinois Student Senate, and 6 non-student members (2 faculty members, 1 staff member, a representative of the Alumni Association, a representative of the Staff Advisory Council, and a representative of the Faculty-Staff Social Committee).

Non-Student Board Members are required to attend all Full Board Meetings and will have the opportunity to serve on other committees as they have interest. Terms are for one calendar year.
In spring 2011, full board Meetings will take place on the following Wednesday’s beginning at 5:10 pm: February 2, February 23, March 16, April 13 and May 4. Meetings typically conclude by 90 minutes.
